Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde insists it's too soon to discuss new signings.

Defensive names have been linked for January after injuries to Samuel Umtiti and Thomas Vermaelen.

"These are questions which we have to evaluate and make the decision at the time," the coach insisted.

"What we have to do in moments of need is see what works and go to the B team, I watch them every day.

"[Sergio] Busquets is a possibility, but not for the long-term, he does the job for a few moments in games, we know where he performs best."
