Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde is enjoying a record making start to his Nou Camp career.

Barca have started the 2017/18 LaLiga season perfectly, having won all six of their opening half a dozen matches.

That means that Valverde has equalled the best start-to-the-season runs of Tito Vilanova and Pep Guardiola.

The former also won his first six matches as Blaugrana coach, until a 2-2 draw with Real Madrid in the seventh round, while the best start Guardiola ever managed was in 2009/10, when no points were dropped until a 0-0 draw with Valencia in the seventh week.

However, Valverde has not yet put together the best ever beginning to a campaign, as that record belongs to Tata Martino, whose 2013/14 side won their first eight fixtures of the league season.
