Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde admits Lionel Messi may miss their clash with Sevilla.

It's unclear whether or not Los Cules' leading goal-scorer will be ready to take part at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, especially with the Champions League tie with Roma coming up on April 4.

"Messi has minor discomfort and we have to take it into account," he explained in his pre-match press conference.

"We will wait until later to make a decision.

"We're taking care of him, just in the way the Argentine national team did."
