The under pressure Chilean scored one and created another for Lionel Messi in a performance that impressed caretaker coach Jordi Roura.

"It was important for the team, he has scored and has helped us defensively, with his tackling," said Roura.

"He offers us another option for Tuesday (against AC Milan)."
