Barcelona coach Tata Martino has made contact with the representatives of Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin.
The Colombia international is the subject of intense interest from Chelsea, but as yet no fee has been struck.
Calciomercato.it says Martino recently made contact with Guarin's agent, expressing his admiration for the player and his interest in signing him.
No offer was made, but Martino did register his interest in bringing Guarin to the Nou Camp some time this year.
