Barcelona boss Tata Martino says Lionel Messi remains the best player in the world.Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo won the Ballon d'Or this week.

"Firstly, I'd like to congratulate Cristiano Ronaldo and the people who won because it's a very important award. It's the acknowledgement of a year's work. The best footballer in the world is one thing and being player of the year is another. We have the best player in the world here," said Martino.
