Barcelona coach Tata Martino has defended his utilisation of Lionel Messi.
Martino has withdrawn Messi from his preferred central role and the goals have now dried up for the Argentine.
"I do not care that Leo does or does not score goals because his contribution is always paramount. Against Real Madrid he worked great for the team. His presence is very encouraging on the field," said Messi.
"I had a chat with Messi, we took him away from playing the false 9, I asked him to play on the right. I thought it might unbalance them more and we could play with a striker that we have."
