Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has rapped Atletico Madrid defender Luis Perea for his challenge on Lionel Messi last week.

Perea's tackle left Messi with an ankle injury during Barca's Copa del Rey win and Guardiola fumed: "Messi never complains, he gets up and continues playing. There are referees who have to be vigilant, but not only for Messi, but for everyone."

He added: "Football's a contact sport and you will be kicked."
