Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has a two-man shortlist for his next attacking signing. Sport says Olympique Lyon striker Karim Benzema and Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero are the two players Guardiola favours as he plans to make a major attacking signing for next season.

Guardiola rates Benzema highly and would love to bring the Frenchman to the Nou Camp, but Aguero, with his £40 million buyout clause, is emerging as the more affordable option.

Aguero is expected to leave next summer, with his agents seeking a double-your-money deal from Atletico for him to stay.

Benzema would be available for similar money, but with Aguero's buyout clause set in stone, Barca see the Argentine as an easier target to land.
