Barcelona coach Guardiola insists nothing sinister behind Pique axing

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola denies there's a problem with Gerard Pique after axing him for victory at Bayer Leverkusen.

Pique sat out the 3-1 Champions League win, with his preparations marred by a car accident the previous day.

"I have chosen my 18.

"So he was on the bench. I also left out Tello. And Xavi, who has not been right for days.

"Pique has no reason to be angry, you know I love him. For us he is untouchable."

All i care about is my team getting back to winning ways. Pep is the man in charge, so nothing should be made Pique's absence from the game.

Pep is right to bench Pique. I hope this is a lesson for Pique to stop partying with shakira and focus on Barca, because the match against osasuna Pique was not himself there, he made to many mistakes that caused the 3 goals that osasuna scored.
