Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola admits he could've treated Pedro better this season.

The winger has lost his first-choice status this term - which Guardiola says he didn't deserve.

"There has not been so much continuity, maybe I was wrong. If I've upset or offended him it was not my intention. The good thing for the club is that there are very young players here who have all their careers ahead of them.

"He has been a vital part of our success. There are few people who you come across in life like Pedro, whose heart is always so positive. He will be an essential player in the future years of Barcelona."
