Barcelona are ready to pour their efforts into winning the race for Valencia striker David Villa.

Sport says after considering Villa, Fernando Torres (Liverpool) and Karim Benzema (Lyon), Barca chiefs have decided to go for the Valencia man at the end of this season.

The asking price of Torres and Benzema's decision to stick with Lyon another 12 months has Barca turning to Villa, who will be put up for sale by cash-strapped Valencia in the summer.
