Ajax coach Frank de Boer is in the frame for a return to Barcelona.
AD says De Boer is being discussed at the Nou Camp as a replacement for underfire coach Tata Martino.
The Argentine is contracted to Barca for another season, but with the title slipping away, club chiefs are exploring alternatives.
De Boer spent five years at Barca and is tied to Ajax until 2017. He said over the weekend: "I am very happy at Ajax. But if such a situation arises, we'll see."
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari have also been mentioned as candidates.
