Barcelona are closing on a deal for Flamengo striker Vinicius Jr.

AS says reports which have landed on the table of Barça's Director of Youth Football Pep Segura have been so glowing that over at the offices in Camp Nou, the club has prepared an all-out offensive to land the prodigious 16-year-old.

Everyone is aware that until Vinicius Júnior turns 18, he cannot join Barcelona, and for that reason the work which the Blaugrana technical department is working to ensure that all of finer details of the operation are under strict control.

Barça are so convinced about the teenager's potential that club employee André Cury, who played a role in the transfers of Neymar and Douglas, urged Barça to prioritize the operation and according to sources at the club, the deal is all but done - but not closed, as it would be illegal to do so.
