Barcelona sports chief Andoni Zubizarreta says they're pleased with the arrival of Douglas.

The former Sao Paulo fullback was signed in the final days of the summer market.

"We were looking at him a lot. Douglas seemed to us interesting. He is able to attack well, to get up and back. While not a big player, he defends the area well.

"He comes straight from Brazil. The jump is not easy. He has a good attitude."
