Barcelona sports chief Andoni Zubizarreta says Lionel Messi should make tonight's Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.

Messi is battling to overcome a hamstring strain.

"Messi is capable of playing, but nothing is decided," said Zubi.

"We have to decide if he's able to compete. We're not going to give up on having the best we have on the field. If he's traveling it is because he is close to playing."
