Barcelona vice-president Carles Vilarrubí has hit out at the media over their reaction to the transfer ban for Real Madrid.

Real and Atletico Madrid have been banned from two transfer windows over their signing of youth players.

Vilarrubí is angry over the reaction from the media compared to how Barca were treated after FIFA banned them.

“Our country's media should take a look at themselves and at what they wrote when FIFA gave Barcelona the same punishment," he barked.

“Two years ago we didn't have the support of any other clubs. Quite the contrary, we had a terrible campaign against us. We were accused of child trafficking and some of the front pages were absolutely awful. We know who was behind it all."
