Barcelona sports chief Txiki Begiristain says coach Pep Guardiola made the decision to sell Samuel Eto'o. Eto'o moved to Inter Milan as part of a swap for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Begiristain revealed: "We wanted to keep Eto'o, recognising the quality he has, but according to the coach, we knew that the management of the squad would be easier without him. There had to be change. And the change was Ibrahimovic.
"He was the first option, but also the most difficult. He is a great goalscorer, a powerful player with an extraordinary high quality. He brings something new to our game with his height."
