Barcelona chief Robert: We had no choice but to sell Bravo to Man City

Barcelona chief Robert Fernandez has explained their decision to sell Claudio Bravo to Manchester City.

Bravo chose to quit Barca last week after becoming fed-up with Barca coach Luis Enrique's rotation policy.

Robert explained yesterday: "By having only a two year contract, we were in a risky situation.

"The following season he would be gone for some money, and we would have been called irresponsible and they would have blamed me.

"He had an offer from Manchester City, it has been evaluated and he decided to leave."
