Barcelona chief Pep Segura denies he wanted to single out Gerard Pique for criticism after their Supercopa first-leg defeat to Real Madrid.

Prior to Wednesday's second leg, Segura made clear he wasn't intending to be critical.

"It wasn't my intention to criticise Pique or single him out, maybe I used words that suggested he made a mistake," he explained.

Segura also gave an update on Los Cules' dual pursuit of Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele.

"We know that in negotiations there are always small details that have to be fixed before closing the deal," he added.
