Barcelona chief Jordi Cardoner says they can afford to sign Santos star Neymar.

However, Cardoner insists no pre-agreement was struck with the Brazilian.

"To my knowledge we did not pay €10 million to have a preferential option for Neymar," he said.

"If we're talking about him (Neymar) it is because he is a player we consider qualified to be part of this team, but our coaches will decide."
