Barcelona sports chief Txiki Begiristain has no doubts Gabriel Milito will play for the club this season.

The Argentina defender is recovering from a close-season knee injury and Begiristain said: "Gaby is working hard and will return to the team and give us what we expect of him.

"He's a great player who had a fantastic season with us and I'm sure he will again give us a season like that.

"He is a character player, a leader."
