Barcelona sports chief Txiki Begiristain will be in Argentina this week to check on their sister club.

Begiristain will check on the young talent at FC Barcelona Lujan and also take in some friendlies to see how the youth development is progressing.

The Barca chief also wants talks with the Argentina FA over Lionel Messi's commitments. Begiristain wants Messi to skip Argentina's friendly with Scotland after allowing him to miss preseason to win gold at the Beijing Olympics.
