Barcelona vice president Josep Maria Bartomeu admits they may be priced out of deals for two Premier League stars.

Tottenham winger Gareth Bale and Arsenal striker Robin van Persie have attracted interest from Barca this season.

But Bartomeu says: "Van Persie and Bale are excellent players.

"But we must always use our common sense when negotiating for players. We will not participate in the total madness of the transfer market."
