Barcelona cash problems may scupper bid for Arsenal ace Cesc

Barcelona may be forced to shelve their pursuit of Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas due to cash problems.

The Mirror says Barcelona is negotiating a €150m bank loan so that it can afford to pay its players.

Barca president Sandro Rosell was keen to distance Barcelona from a deal for the Arsenal skipper even though, he admitted, "everyone knows he wants to come here."

He "denied adamantly" that there was any possibility of Barcelona paying €50-60m for the midfielder, saying that publicity about the transfer was "the worst thing that could have happened".
