Barcelona may be forced to shelve their pursuit of Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas due to cash problems.
The Mirror says Barcelona is negotiating a 150m bank loan so that it can afford to pay its players.
Barca president Sandro Rosell was keen to distance Barcelona from a deal for the Arsenal skipper even though, he admitted, "everyone knows he wants to come here."
He "denied adamantly" that there was any possibility of Barcelona paying 50-60m for the midfielder, saying that publicity about the transfer was "the worst thing that could have happened".
