Barcelona captain Carles Puyol sees himself playing until his mid-thirties.

The defender said: "The idea is not to leave here and I hope I still can stay with the club for a long time, but in football you never know what can happen.

"I hope I can play until I am 35 or 36 years of age."

Upon hanging up his boots, Puyol isn't planning a coaching career. Instead, he fancies becoming a sports director "because it is more fun".
