Barcelona captain Carles Puyol is backing their push for Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas.

Barca players are lining up to welcome Fabregas back to the club.

Puyol, a close friend of Fabregas, said: "Cesc is a perfect player for us and it would be sensational to have him back here next season.

"I have spoken to him a lot about it while we have been away with Spain and he knows how many in the Barca dressing room want him to come.

"The people here want Cesc back at Barca, especially with the World Cup this summer. He is very popular here because he is a true Catalan."
