Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta was happy for Marlon Santos after his winning debut against Las Palmas.

Marlon was given his chance after Javier Mascherano was forced off with injury.

“You have to congratulate Marlon on his game, it's not easy to play in the first team and like he did. It's not easy to play away from home and in these circumstances," said Iniesta.

“He did really well. If he plays in the first team it's because he has quality and now what he has to keep doing is maintain the ambition to improve.

"You have to hope they keep betting on people formed here."
