Barcelona presidential candidate Augusti Benedito wants to break all ties with Qatar.

Benedito is angry over the club's association with the Gulf state.

"We won't align ourselves with people who fund terrorism and disdain the rights of their workers. They have one year left with us. It's a matter of principle and values," he declared.

The pre-candidate, whose campaign centres on the idea of transparency, has also announced that he would introduce formal 'Barça ambassadors', former players whose role would be to promote and support club projects and schemes.
