Barcelona boss Guardiola will not take Champions League opponents Real Madrid lightly

Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola insists their Champions League semi with Real Madrid is not over.

Guardiola says his side have to be at their very best to secure a place in the final.

"We are prepared for everything, but we know Madrid will play the game of their lives and they can make things difficult," he said.

"We'll have to see what they have in mind, but they have players who can bring the ball out from the back and one of the best central midfielders in the world - Xabi Alonso."

Alonso is just one of a host of expensive signings Madrid have made over the last two seasons and while Barca have also invested, the Catalans go into tomorrow's game with a host of homegrown talent on show.

"We have 14 players who have come through our youth system going to compete a Champions League semi-final," Guardiola said. "We're very proud of that."
