Barcelona boss Guardiola reluctant to discuss signing Villa replacement

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola was reluctant to discuss replacements for David Villa after their Club World Cup win over Al Sadd.

Villa is out for the season after breaking his shin in the semifinal.

Guardiola insisted now was not the time to discuss January reinforcements in the light of Villa's absence.

"Let us have compassion and respect," he said. "Let's give it time. Now is not the time to talk about it."

Thiago Silva is the man. The moment I knew was when he played a few games last year as a DM due to injuries and he was incredible. The guy has so much talent, you could play him anywhere on the field and he'd be top 10 in that position in the world.
