Barcelona boss Guardiola: Real Madrid won't tempt Messi

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has dismissed talk of losing Lionel Messi to Real Madrid. Real presidential candidate Florentino Perez has Messi on his shopping list, but Guardiola said: "I do not know who will be the new president of Madrid, and even if he has £120 million, the termination clause for the Argentine, Messi will not leave. That is why I am only worried that Messi is happy at Barcelona."

Of course, it was Perez who lured Luis Figo from Barca, but Guardiola insists: "I do not know if Perez has reason to do an operation of this kind. The only thing that worries me is that Messi is happy with his family and team. And that the team will continue to love him as well as now."
