Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola shrugged off Lionel Messi's hat-trick performance in last night's Copa del Rey victory at Atletico Madrid.

"I shook his hand like everyone else," said Guardiola. "He has had a good holiday. I'm very happy for him. He played quite well.

"His behavior is extraordinary."

Guardiola admitted he had concerns over the make-up of his team for last night's tie.

"It wasn't what I expected. I am lucky to be coaching such good players. They are the ones that make this squad look so good."
