Barcelona B coach Gerard Lopez is set to sign a new deal.

Sport says three days after promotion back to the second tier of Spanish football was confirmed and after a fine season, the club have decided they will offer him a new deal.

There will be a meeting at the club's offices on Wednesday, where Pep Segura, the head of the club's academy, will offer Gerard new terms.

Even though the delay has come as a surprise given Barça B won their league, there are not expected to be any problems and the Catalan coach will sign the new deal and manage in Segunda A next season.
