Barcelona have reached an agreement with Qatar Airways to remain as their principal sponsor until 2020, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

The club's president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, appears to have been working to finalise the deal before tendering his resignation, which he is obliged to do in order to run for re-election as club president in next month's vote.

The agreement will not be officially ratified until after those elections, because the deal involves a break-clause that would allow the new president to negotiate with other sponsors. It is expected however that the deal will remain in place whether or not Bartomeu wins the election.
