Barcelona midfielder Xavi believes Jose Mourinho's departure from Real Madrid is a blow to the Spanish Liga. Mourinho is expected to return to Chelsea after his split from Real was confirmed this week.

"Let's see what happens without Mourinho, but I am convinced that Madrid will continue to win titles with or without Mourinho," said Xavi.

"Mourinho's departure is a significant loss for the La Liga.

"He is an important coach on the global scene.

"He is a controversial coach. Always gave us extra motivation. I do not know if we (Barca) will miss him or not."
