Barcelona ace Luis Suarez has surprised himself with his free-scoring form.
With four more goals in FC Barcelona's 6–0 victory over Sporting on Saturday night at Camp Nou, the Uruguayan striker now has eight goals in his last two games, putting him at the top of the La Liga goal scoring list with 34 goals.
“All of these goals in the last two games have surprised me a little bit," Suarez said. “I'm happy to be able to help the team."
Suárez now has 50 goals in the season across all competitions and has broken his own personal record from last term, when he scored 49.
“It wasn't any kind of obsession or objective," he said. The striker, in addition, knows full well what the team's intentions are: “The most important thing is to win La Liga."
