Barcelona have given up on trying to persuade Thiago Alcantara to stay at the Nou Camp.
Marca says Barca are expected to soon announce Thiago will be leaving this summer.
The midfielder, who finished the U21 Euros as Player of the Tournament, has a concrete offer from Manchester United, but interest from Pep Guardiola's Bayern Munich is threatening the Premier League club's hopes.
Thiago can leave Barca for his €18 million buyout clause, which was an option in his contract should he have failed to be a first team regular last season. The original clause was set at €80 million.
Surprisingly, it's claimed coach Tito Vilanova was unaware of the clause in Thiago's contract.
