Barcelona defender Javier Mascherano is on the brink of a move to China.
ESPN says Mascherano and Barça have reached an agreement that will see the Argentine defender move to the Chinese Super League joining Hebei China Fortune in a move set to be valued at €10 million.
Two executives from the Chinese side have been sent to the Catalan capital to see the move through.
The player's agent Walter Tamer acknowledges that Barcelona have accepted the offer.
Mascherano has been given limited playing time this season under Ernesto Valverde and with his strong desire to represent Argentina at next summer's World Cup has decided to "pursue his own happiness" as he recently put it, in China.
