Barcelona ace Xavi has hit out at the treatment of Iker Casillas by Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho. Xavi says he can't believe the way Casillas has been demoted since returning to full fitness.

"Of course (I'm unhappy), just like the whole of Spanish football," said Xavi.

"We feel bad for a guy so important, but in my case it may not be objective, because I am friends with him. But I know he's hurting.

"In September, he was up for the Ballon d'Or and now it seems that he does not count for anything. Football takes many turns. He's a friend, a teammate, a good guy and a reference of Spanish football.

"He does not deserve this."
