Barbiero reflects on best and most important goal in his career

Adelaide United's preliminary final hero Fabian Barbiero said his winning goal on Saturday night was the best and most important in his career. The 24-year old scored with a superb strike across his body from just outside the penalty area in the 25th minute against the Queensland Roar to send the Reds through to the Grand Final where they will meet rivals the Melbourne Victory.

Barbiero admitted it was probably his best goal ever.

"I think Craig Moore got the head to it and I sort of anticipated it, it spilt to me, I took a touch and hit it and as soon as it left my boot I knew it was going in," Barbiero remembers of the moment.

"I reckon it was (the best goal he has ever scored) and the most important one to, as it got us into the Asian Champions League and now into the Grand Final."
