Nacer Barazite is determined that his first pro contract at Arsenal will be just the start of a successful career at Emirates stadium.

The 17 year-old Dutch attacker told Arsenal.com: "I certainly am not thinking that I have made it because I have signed my first contract with Arsenal.

"I am very pleased, but my target of course is to become a player for the first team and to do that I have to show what I can do and keep improving to get my chance.

"I hope that I will be involved in the Carling Cup this season because that will be fantastic for me. I am working hard to improve more and more and more. I think I have a good technique, but that can always improve. As a second striker it is important to have a precise first touch and so I am doing a lot of work on that and of course with my shooting and passing too."
