England legend Gordon Banks is convinced by the quality of Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland.

Banks says Stoke's 22-year-old keeper can really hot up the competition for the England No.1 spot.

He said: “You always get that feeling before a game for your country. The nerves never leave you. I got it all the time.

“I just hope he keeps learning along the way and he will get even better.

“It's great for England and for Stoke as well and I'd love him to follow in my footsteps."
