Bank holiday's for wimps! Man Utd boss Mourinho at Carrington today

Jose Mourinho will be at Carrington today as he gets to work as Manchester United manager.

The Daily Mail says Mourinho is renowned for his attention to detail and is taking the opportunity on Bank Holiday to have a thorough look at United's training ground facilities and meet the staff he has inherited at the club.

The 53-year-old is keen to put plans in place as quickly as possible for the new season with talks planned later this week with Ryan Giggs, as Mourinho shapes his coaching department, and discussions continuing with Ed Woodward over varied transfer targets.

Mourinho has identified former United defender Rio Ferdinand as a potential member of his coaching staff and wants to add him to his inner circle.

Giggs would potentially be given a position between the first team and the Under-21 side.
