Banfield midfielder Vergara scouted by Villarreal

Banfield midfielder Pablo Vergara is being tracked by Villarreal.

The 22 year-old has only emerged in Argentina in the last 12 months, but is regarded among the brightest new hopes in his country.

Villarreal powerbroker Jose Manuel Llaneza was recently in Argentina and has sounded out Banfield about Vergara's situation. The Yellow Submarine management are keen to inject some youth into their aging midfield next season.
