Emery substituted Banega in the second-half and was left hanging by the midfielder when he sort to shake his hand.
"I'm very sorry. It was a heated moment, where we were losing, something I should not have done. I apologise to all my colleagues, coaches, the club, the fans. I apologise and will never do it again," said Banega after the game.
"I know I made a mistake and never want to commit something like that again."
