Mario Balotelli has had a successful operation on his knee and is now looking to be back playing for Manchester City in six weeks. The City striker was forced to have an operation after picking up an injury on his debut against Timisoara in the Europa League.
The 20-year-old is now determined to get back on the pitch quickly, although it is expected to take six weeks to recover fully.
"I'm fine and the surgery went well," he told corrieredellosport.it. "I hope to return to play in as little time as possible."
Despite only just setting out on his City career, Balotelli has been linked with a move to AC Milan at some point in the future.
He is flattered by the speculation but focused on performing as well as he can in the Premier League, while Milan have also played down the reports.
Rossoneri president Silvio Berlusconi told Gazzetta dello Sport: "Balotelli to Milan? I've never heard about it."
