Mario Balotelli's training ground tackle on Manchester City teammate Scott Sinclair has been described as "horrendous".

The Daily Mail says Balotelli's lunge on Sinclair was so wild that manager Roberto Mancini felt compelled to intervene.

Mancini was snapped clashing with Balotelli in the aftermath.

"This was not just a mistimed tackle that you sometimes get towards the end of training," a source revealed. "This was an horrendous, horrific slash."
