Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli made a surprise outing in the Blues' under 21s friendly match at Platt Lane on Monday, reports the Manchester Evening News. Balotelli continued his return to full fitness with an outing for City youngsters against Blackburn Rovers.
The Italian scored twice in the 4-0 win and then passed up two chances to complete his hat-trick, with a young trialist and Denis Suarez taking the spot-kicks.
