Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has handed manager Roberto Mancini a fresh injury scare.
The Daily Express says maverick striker Balotelli limped out of training yesterday with a thigh strain just four days after making his comeback from knee surgery.
City said his withdrawal was a "precaution" and he will still travel today for the Europa League game at Lech Poznan, where the injury will be assessed.
But if it proves more serious than anticipated it leaves City with just Emmanuel Adebayor and the underperforming Jo because Carlos Tevez (thigh) is ruled out already. Roque Santa Cruz is not registered for Europe, while Craig Bellamy is on loan to Cardiff.
